Did you know that first aid skills and knowledge specific to cats and dogs exist and can save your pet’s life in case of illness or injury? The St. John Ambulance pet first aid course provides the knowledge and skills needed to respond safely and efficiently if your pet gets sick or injured – you can save your pet’s life. You will learn and practice resuscitation techniques like CPR and choking, and also learn how to prevent your pet from becoming seriously sick or injured by pet proofing your home.

 

Pet First Aid

 

Pet First Aid is a 1 day introductory program that provides training which encourages safety in emergency situations and prepares rescuers to respond to life-threatening emergencies involving domestic animals.  This course is recommended for pet owners, pet caregivers and pet sitters.

• Choking

• Artificial Respiration

• Poisoning

• Bites (from other animals)

• Skunk Spray

• Vaccinations

• other pet emergencies
